Five months before the event begins, excellent registration figures have been recorded for the coming Anuga in Cologne from 5 to 9 October 2019. More than half of the exhibiting space (total 284.000 sqm) has been booked. Close to 7,400 exhibitors from around 100 countries are expected to participate, testament to Anuga’s status as the world’s biggest and most important business platform for the international food industry.
BANGKOK, – Anuga, the top international trade show for the world’s food and drink industry, announced its 100th year anniversary at a press conference in IMPACT Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok, Thailand. Anuga will be attended by numerous market leaders and majority of the international group organizers have also confirmed their participation at the trade fair for all 10 trade shows, including the Federal Association of the German Retail Grocery Trade, Berlin (BVLH), the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Thailand, and the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Board of Trade of Thailand.
Thailand is an important trade market for Germany. In 2018, Thailand exported EUR 390 billion worth of food to Germany, testament to the former’s status as an important source market for the German food industry. Popular export products include meat, fodder, fish and fish preparations, fruit preparations and tinned fruit, bakery products and other preparations comprising grain, rice and rice products. Thailand is also a significant sales market with growing potential, with Germany exporting EUR 135 million of food in 2018. Important products include potatoes and potato products, milk and milk products, meat and meat products, cocoa and cocoa products and many more1.
