of the air suction unit, including automatically setting the airflow and helping
to ventilate as needed. This effectively allowed the chemical vapor to flow
out of the room without chemical residue in the laboratory. This can be
adapted and applied to the fume exhaust and general fume hoods, local
exhaust, and canopy hoods. In addition, the Smart Lab system can record
and report each exhaust system’s performance. In case of reduced
performance, the system will alert with light and sound and send the display
data to a monitor in the control room. Gas leak detection can also be added
to the system in case of laboratory accidents. It will deliver the alarm signal
to the display and automatically open the fume exhaust system to release
residual gases or vapors from the laboratory.
Using the Smart Lab system to avoid chemical residues in a laboratory
