SMART PRODUCTION

                  SMART Product Inspection

                  for Chilled & Frozen Food

Modern-day technologies help facilitate our daily lives in multiple ways. Many smart devices have been invented
to satisfy contemporary consumers’ needs for speed and convenience; mobile phones, for example, improve
our lifestyles by providing us with information, entertainment, and ability to make transactions anywhere
and at any time. Electrical home appliances with internet connectivity can even allow us to digitally send
commands via mobile phones without any need for direct physical contact.
                     Industry-wise, smart control enhances the
manufacturing processes in factories such as
                  issuing commands, controlling, monitoring, or
modifying parameters. It is likely that smart
products endowed with smart control systems
will play a bigger role in the industry sector.
Quality control tools for the chilled and
frozen food industry have received many
improvements in order to satisfy the needs of
food manufacturers: metal detectors or X-ray
inspection tools, for instance, have wireless
                  communication functions that enable smart
phone or tablet accessibility. These features
help reduce the risks of accident when users
need to make a parameter adjustment on a
machine installed in an area that is difficult to
reach such as a highly elevated place.
                     The consumers’ confidence on product
quality is one of the chilled and frozen food
                  manufacturers’ first concerns. Product safety
is also a priority as, in accordance with the
food safety regulations, a product must
                  contain no extraneous material. Contaminant
detecting devices such as metal detector or
                  X-ray machine embedded with smart
technology are designed to feature smart
                  components that enable self-processing or
self-monitoring as well as connectivity that
can promptly send users an irregularity
                  warning via SMS or email.
                     Currently, these smart technologies play
an important role in the improvement of the
                  manufacturers’ competitiveness. Constant
development and adaptation to catch up with
the ever-changing nature of the technology
and the market’s need will ensure a sustainable
                               competitiveness of our
                                   businesses.
