SAFETY ALERT


                                                                   Though not as widely known as the novel coronavirus 2019,
                                                                   the African Swine Fever is very well known amongst pig
                                                                   farmers and breeders, especially after its outbreak in China
                                                                   on August 3, 2018, which brought to light its severity that,
                                                                   despite its slow spread, can elevate the mortality rate of
                                                                   infected pigs to 100%, thus potentially resulting in enormous
                                                                   economic and social impacts. The ASF spread quickly in
                                                                   China and even extended to other neighboring countries
                                                                   such as Vietnam, Mongolia, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar,
                                                                   the Philippines, Korea, Indonesia, and Timor-Leste in less
                                                                   than a year.
