Recycling Efforts School milk cartons exemplify the
importance of everyday recycling efforts, particularly in
Bangkok, where nearly 200,000 of these cartons are
disposed of daily. Recognizing this environmental con-
cern, Tetra Pak (Thailand) Company Limited, a leader in
aseptic production and packaging technology, collabo-
rates with milk producers and various organizations to
facilitate school milk carton recycling projects. Every step
is meticulously managed, from receiving the milk to
sterilizing and packaging it into cartons. Once the children
finish their milk, they fold the used cartons, preparing
them for collection and transportation to a recycling
center. Here, the waste undergoes a transformation into
raw materials for new industries. In a full-circle approach,
the processed milk cartons are returned to the schools
as tables and chairs for the children, creating a tangible
impact they can see and experience firsthand.
