It must be apparent to consumers that their
products are of the highest quality and they are
never the source of consumer complaints regarding
harmful contaminants.

Various Products in Various Packaging
Types
The manufactures a variety of products packaged
in various formats and as well as different
packaging sizes. They needed to be able to detect
contaminants in products packaged in aluminum
foil, as well as needed a solution to speed up the
production process and to provide ease and
flexibility in changing product types. The product
inspection machine, therefore, must be able to
accomplish these challenges.

The Perfect Solution
A new x-ray machine for multi-lane inspection was

an ideal solution. Products from two packaging
lines can be conveyed through the single x-ray
machine simultaneously by being separated into

two inspection lanes. The machine can also inspect
and separate out contaminated products from the
production line with a series of drop down conveyor
belts. The contaminated products then fall into the
reject bin below the inspection line. This process
has been designed with safety systems allowing
only authorized personnel such as Quality
Assurance (QA) to be able to handle rejected
products and conduct a more detailed examination.
In addition, a special software system provides
added flexibility. The operators can easily choose
to inspect either a single lane or multi-lanes. This
